Chris Adams

Executive in Residence for Online Communities & Social Media

Chris Adams is a Senior Vice President of Consumer Banking Transformation at Bank of America, and an Executive in Residence at MIT’s Center for Future Banking.  He works on business development and strategy to determine Bank of America’s new business models and strategic approaches to online communities and social media.  Chris manages Bank of America’s award-winning Small Business Online Community.

Mr. Adams joined the bank in 2005, after spending over 3 years working at OPEN: The Small Business Network at American Express where he managed customer acquisition strategy as well as credit card product management.   

Prior to that, Chris worked as a strategy consultant for McKinsey&Company in their New York City office.

Chris started his career as an Account Executive for Marsh & McLennan in their commercial insurance brokerage operations.   He later served as President for Flying Colors, a residential repainting company named to the Inc. 500 List of Private Companies.

Chris earned an MBA from The Wharton School, as well a BA from Williams College.  He now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife and two young daughters and continues to be a die-hard Knicks, Giants and Yankees fan.
