"Don't predict the future, just make it better for the ones that come after us." Hans Schumacher is the Quantitative Operations Executive leading Modeling, Analysis, and Testing for Card Services and Small Business. Recently, he was appointed the Center for Future Banking Executive in Residence for Bank of America Card Services.
Prior to his current roles, Hans Schumacher was a Senior Technology Manager for Bank of America Enterprise Information and Analytics, where he supported the division’s Innovation and Information Delivery activities. As part of this role, Hans was instrumental in creating the Center for Future Banking.
Before joining Bank of America in December 2006, Hans was the Product Development Manager for V8/V10 Engine Systems at Ford Motor Company. From 1995 to 2006, he held several positions at Ford Motor Company in Product Development, Manufacturing, and Product Strategy working in the US and Germany, with international teams in Europe and Japan.
Hans graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Master of Science Degree in System Design and Management. Prior to this degree, Hans received Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen in Germany. In fulfillment of his degree requirements he finished his Master’s Thesis at Dartmouth College.
He has been recognized with the highest Awards at Ford Motor Company and Banking of America for his various business and technical leadership.
